Mosquitoes and Ticks can carry a variety of diseases. The biggest one people remember from ticks is Lyme’s disease. Aside from carrying diseases, they are also bothersome. The most common way to treat and prevent your yard for mosquitoes and ticks is to have the Mosquito and Tick Plan which runs May through September.
Each month during the warm months the technician treats each yard specific to the unique yard each is. There are two common species of mosquitoes in Minnesota, one that travels distances throughout their lifetime and one that stays in the same area their whole lives. The technician typically treats the perimeter of the yard, any fencing or lawn ornamentation to create a barrier between yours and your neighbors’ yards. Next the technician will treat trees, shrubs, bushes, and any tall grasses, for these are common breeding and harboring sites. Finally, the technician will treat any activity spots of the yard, like trampolines, patios and decks, swing sets, etc. And for extra measure, mosquitoes can breed in cracks and crevices in walking paths and patios, so the technician may spray there too.
These monthly treatments compound success in dramatically reducing the mosquito and tick population of your yard. The spray typically dries in about an hour, depending on weather patterns like humidity, temperature, and wind speed. Also included in this package deal are no trip charges. So if Minnesota decides to suddenly rain after a treatment and it didn’t get its full hour of dry time and you feel the effects of the mosquitoes, give us a call and we will come back out!
Our pricing is based on lot size. This is the second most commonly purchased plan at Paffy’s Pest Control and it pairs well with the 3 Season Home Service Plan. Give our office a call to discuss any questions you may have, and get your property covered for a pest-free summer!
